Boomeresque

This is a “must read” blog by Suzanne Fluhr about Baby Boomer travel for the body and mind. Suzanne is a recovering Philadelphia lawyer who shares her somewhat irreverent take on her travel experiences around the world and on her journey through life, while providing "news you can use" in planning your own travels through space and time.  Heck, even if you aren't a Boomer, you should read it.  Click here for blog.

If you don’t like waiting in those LONG lines when returning from overseas, this is your program.  Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. There is a fee for this program.  Click here for more information.

TSA Pre Check

TSA Pre Check allows select frequent flyers of participating airlines and members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs who are flying on participating airlines, to receive expedited screening benefits. Eligible participants use dedicated screening lanes for screening benefits which include leaving on shoes, light outerwear and belts, as well as leaving laptops and 3-1-1 compliant liquids in carry-on bags. However, this is a random selection.

In 20xx, there was a change to allow person to apply for this  program.  You will receive a Trusted Traveler Number, which is what the Global Entry Program provides.  TSA Pre-Check is only for departures from the U.S.  If you want to enroll in the program to guarantee selection, there is a fee.  Click here for more info on the program.
